Your glucose meter tracks sugar. Dial tracks fat and muscle.

Living with diabetes or prediabetes? Your glucose checks and your doctor’s plan come first. Dial sits beside them, never instead of them, and shows your fat and muscle as a trend to bring to your next review.

What to watch between reviews.

Your weight is one number. Dial splits it, so you can see what is changing underneath.

  • Under 10 is standard

    Visceral fat level

An estimate of the fat around your organs, as a level from 1 to 20. Watch which way it moves over the months.

  • Fat, not just weight

    Body fat mass

Your fat in kilos, with body fat percentage beside it. It shows whether fat is changing, not just your weight.

  • Holding or rising

    Skeletal muscle mass

The muscle you move with. Many people like to see it hold steady or rise over the months.

  • Dial H40 only

    Leg muscle level

Are your legs keeping their muscle? A rating in the app, on Dial H40.

Same morning. Same way. Every week.

One test can wobble. The trend across weeks is what you bring to your review.

01

Same time, same way

Morning, after the toilet, before breakfast, exercise or a shower. Barefoot, on a hard, level floor.

02

Watch the months

Water and meals nudge single tests. A few weeks of tests show the direction.

03

Note what changed

A new medicine or a change in routine? Note it beside your results and tell your doctor.

What Dial can do, and what it can’t.

Dial can

  • Show weight, body fat mass and body fat percentage
  • Show skeletal muscle mass, and leg muscle level on the H40
  • Show a visceral fat level, an estimate of fat around the organs
  • Keep your history, test by test, in the InBody app

Dial can’t

  • Measure glucose, insulin or HbA1c
  • Diagnose, stage or predict diabetes
  • Replace your glucometer, blood tests or your doctor
  • Image visceral fat. Its level is an impedance estimate, not a scan.
  • Tell you to change insulin or tablets. Never adjust them on a scale reading.

Bring the trend to your review.

Open the History screen in the InBody app at your appointment, so your doctor sees the weeks, not one morning. Ask:

  1. Should strength work be part of my plan?
  2. Should my protein change?

Your doctor decides what the trend means for you.

Three Dials. One method.

All three show weight, muscle, body fat and visceral fat level on the screen. H30 and H40 also know who stepped on and sync over Wi-Fi, so a parent needs no phone beside the scale.

Questions on diabetes and Dial

Will Dial tell me if I have diabetes?

No. Dial can’t measure blood sugar, insulin or HbA1c, and it can’t diagnose, stage or predict diabetes. Only blood tests and your doctor can. Dial shows fat and muscle trends you can bring to that conversation.

Which readings should I watch?

Ask your doctor what matters for you. Many people watch three together: visceral fat level, body fat mass and skeletal muscle mass, as a trend across weeks rather than single readings. On the H40, leg muscle level adds detail.

Can I use it with swollen feet?

Ask your doctor first. Swelling means extra fluid, and changes in body water can change the reading. If your feet swell or your medicines change, read the trend with care and tell your doctor.

My BMI is normal. Why watch this?

BMI uses only your height and weight, so it can’t tell fat from muscle. Dial shows body fat and a visceral fat level beside your weight, so you can see what BMI leaves out. It can’t diagnose anything; bring the trend to your doctor.

How often should I measure?

Once a week works well: same time, same conditions. Morning, after the toilet, before food, exercise or a shower, barefoot on a hard, level floor. Look at a few weeks of tests before your review, never one reading.

Which Dial should I choose?

All three show weight, muscle, body fat and visceral fat level. Just you? The H20: set your height on the dial before each test, and results reach your phone over Bluetooth. A family, or a parent who won’t use a phone? Dial H30 or H40 recognise up to 20 people and sync over Wi-Fi. The H40 adds leg muscle level. Compare all three.

InBody Dial is a body composition scale for wellness and fitness tracking. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, manage, cure or prevent diabetes or any condition. Continue glucose monitoring and follow your doctor’s advice. Not for use with pacemakers or other implanted electronic medical devices. Pregnant women should consult a doctor before use. Children should use it only with adult help. Results vary with hydration, meals and exercise; measure at a consistent time on a hard, level floor.
